Rakuten publisher login: where to sign in and sign up

The login is publisher.rakutenadvertising.com. Here's the rest of it, including what the move to Impact means for your account.

The login is at publisher.rakutenadvertising.com. If that’s all you came for, there it is — it’s the single most searched thing about Rakuten and it’s oddly hard to find from their own homepage.

The rest of this is worth two minutes, because something significant is changing.

Rakuten Advertising is moving onto impact.com

Announced in April 2026. Rakuten Advertising brands are transitioning onto the impact.com platform, and publishers have to come with them.

What that means in practice:

  • you create an Impact account and link it to your existing Rakuten one
  • brand relationships, terms and tracking links carry across automatically
  • existing Rakuten tracking links redirect to impact.com, and that redirect stays in place for at least a year
  • banking and payment details do not carry over — you re-enter those by hand

There are no public dates. Partners are notified brand by brand, so you may be migrated for one advertiser and not another. If you haven’t heard anything yet, nothing is wrong.

The thing to actually do: don’t let the banking details slip. Everything else moves itself. That one doesn’t, and it’s the one that stops you getting paid.

Signing up, if you’re new

Registration is at publisher.rakutenadvertising.com/register. It asks for the usual — email, name, country, whether you’re an individual or a company, your channel URL and a description of it, traffic figures, content categories.

Two things are mandatory and catch people out: a tax declaration, and a valid postal address. Rakuten collects tax details because US law requires it, so there’s no way round that one.

How long approval takes

Honest answer: Rakuten doesn’t publish a figure, and their own help centre contradicts itself — one article says they’re an open network that doesn’t screen publishers, another says the network quality team rigorously screens everyone.

What’s clearer is the layer underneath. Joining the network is one thing. Every individual advertiser is a separate application, and Rakuten does say those can take anywhere from the same day to several weeks depending on how busy the programme is.

Finding your affiliate ID

There’s no settings field for this, which is why it’s a search of its own.

Go to Advertisers, then My Advertisers, click any link type, choose Get Link, then View Code. The eleven-character string after id= in the code is your affiliate ID. It also gets called the encrypted ID or the tracking ID — same thing.

Getting paid

The threshold is 50 in your network’s currency — £50, $50, €50, CAD 50, AUD 50. Brazil is the exception with no minimum.

There are no fixed pay dates, because payments follow advertiser money rather than a calendar. Rakuten issues four publisher payments a month, and yours goes out the week after the relevant advertiser funds arrive. That’s usually around sixty days after the sale.

Two platforms, and counting

Anyone migrating from Rakuten to Impact now has two logins where they had one, two sets of banking details, and two reporting formats that don’t agree with each other. That’s before whatever else you already run.

Squirrel puts all seventeen networks in one place — including both of these — with your own accounts always taking priority and the gaps filled where you have no relationship.

And if you’re mid-migration, a free link audit is a quick way to check nothing has quietly stopped tracking while the redirects settle. No account needed.

Common questions

What is the Rakuten publisher login URL?

publisher.rakutenadvertising.com. Not the shopping site, and not Rakuten Rewards - those are different products.

Is Rakuten Advertising closing?

No. It’s migrating onto the impact.com platform. Brand relationships and tracking links carry over; existing links redirect for at least a year.

Do I need to do anything about the Impact migration?

Create and link an impact.com account when you’re notified, and re-enter your banking details - those are the one thing that doesn’t transfer.

Where do I find my Rakuten affiliate ID?

Generate any link - Advertisers, My Advertisers, Get Link, View Code - and take the eleven-character value after id=.

What is the Rakuten payment threshold?

50 in your network’s currency. Brazil has no minimum.
